PUT & TAKE

This is a simple game which can be played by any number of players but if more than 6 or 7 play, it can get tedious awaiting your turn.

Cash or tokens and an ordinary large die or a spinner are used. The die faces will need to be re-labelled or a conversion chart drawn up.

Thus:-
1 = ALL PUT 2 = PUT 1
3 = PUT 2
4 = TAKE 1
5 = TAKE 2
6 = TAKE ALL

If making a spinner, then label the segments so that ALL PUT is opposite TAKE ALL. PUT 1 and TAKE 1 are next to each other and PUT 2 and TAKE 1 are also next to each other.

A selected player puts a number of tokens (The Kitty) at the centre of the table and he is known as the banker. The size of the Kitty is generally 5 times, or more, the number of players playing.

The player to the left of the banker spins the spinner or rolls the dice and carries out the instructions that the dice or spinners shows.

The next player to his left has a turn and so on until finally the banker has a turn.

After the banker has played he removes all the remaining tokens from the Kitty and the person to his RIGHT becomes the banker.

When PUT 1 shows, the spinner puts 1 token into the kitty.
When PUT 2 shows, the spinner puts 2 tokens into the kitty.
When TAKE 1 shows, the spinner takes 1 token from the kitty.
When TAKE 2 shows, the spinner takes 2 tokens from the kitty.
When ALL PUT shows, then each player puts 3 tokens into the kitty.
When TAKE ALL shows, the spinning player TAKES ALL of the Kitty and the round is over. The banker for that round has lost all his DOSH and the banker passes to the next player.
